We are looking for a Salaried GP
to join our friendly and progressive GMS practice, Brig Royd Surgery, in the
heart of Ripponden. We are located in the beautiful Ryburn Valley, between Manchester and
Leeds (junction 22 of the M62) and we provide high quality care to over 10600
patients from purpose-built premises.
We offer a competitive salary, professional indemnity
fees paid, 6 weeks annual leave pro-rata and 1 week study leave pro-rata.

Main duties of the job
The post
holder will be employed by the practice to undertake general/ personal medical
services for patients in accordance with the practice policies and protocols.
The role
will be that of a salaried General Practitioner responsible to the Partners for
the provision of specific services to registered patients of the practice and
such temporary residents as may be accepted by the practice.

We are a well-established GP training practice having 5 GP partners
and 3 Salaried GPs serving a population of 10600 patients.
We have an excellent established team which comprises of Nursing
team, Pharmacy team, First Contact Physios, Social Prescribing Link Worker,
Care Co-ordinator and are fully supported by efficient and friendly
administration and reception team.
We hugely value team support and wellbeing, and meet daily for a
refreshment and a catch up.
We have very low home visit numbers and have access to a daily
community visiting service. Patients tell us that we provide excellent access
to care and we are proud of the positive feedback we receive.
We are a high QOF achiever, participate in local and national
enhanced service delivery and are currently rated good by CQC.
We are part of Calder & Ryburn Primary Care Network (PCN) and
have excellent relations with the practices within our PCN.

Provide NHS
general/personal medical services to the practices patient population
Make professionally
autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
Respond to medical
problems presented by patients including history taking, examination,
investigation, treatment and referral when appropriate
Receive patients with
undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and make assessments of their health
care needs
Provide appropriate
preventative healthcare and advice within the context of primary care
Provide additional
services, including contraception, minor surgery, immunisations, maternity and
child health surveillance, if appropriately qualified
Comply with the practices
policies and procedures
Adhere to the West
Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (WYICB) guidance on treatment protocols and
drug formulary
Consult with patients in
surgery and at home visits
Record data on the
clinical system to agreed standards
Maintain patient records
in accordance with the practice policy on record keeping
Undertake administrative
and non-clerical duties needed for the delivery of general/personal medical
services
Undertake oncall sessions
for on the day emergencies.
Undertake
Enhanced Access sessions on rotation.
To work in accordance with
the practice and WYICB, Clinical Governance Policy Framework
