Come and join us in the beautiful
Cathedral City of Lichfield. We are a large supportive GMS training Practice (c.
30,000 patients and growing!). Due to retirement and planning for growth we
would like a doctor to join our team.
Main duties of the job
We are a busy, highly productive practice, always looking to provide excellent care and services for our patients.
In general the post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in Primary Care such as sessional appointments, duty sessions per week, home visits, telephone and face to face consultations.
Our GPs are encouraged to pursue their
other interests. Within our current salaried GPs we have a number of GP trainers, University of Birmingham medical student tutors, the lead trainer for the local VTS, and a number of LARC fitters.
All doctors meet daily for coffee (the
most important part of our day) we share learning ask questions and generally
debrief about our surgeries.
We offer an attractive contract, including
the BMA guided CPD allowance equating to a session per week (pro rata), salary
in DDRB recommended range (dependent upon experience) , flexible working hours,
no extended hours work unless you want to (some people do actually request
this). Workflow and lab links are equally shared amongst all doctors on your working
day, so no returning to piles of paperwork after annual leave and our system
has two duty doctors each day to provide additional support, and a large
supportive team with regular social events. Many of the partners started here
as GP registrars.
About us
You would be joining a team of 9 salaried GPs, with support from 13 partners, 6 ANPS, 4 clinical pharmacists and 8 practice nurses.

Responsbilites include:
Keep contemporaneous, accurate and legible records of all patient contacts and contribute to electronic data recording and audit as directed by the service.
Prescribe, issue prescription and treatments according to agreed protocols and local guidance, within scope of competence.
Contribute to evaluation / audit, significant event reporting and clinical standard setting within the service.
Develop and encourage positive working relationships with PCN, ICB, local GP Practices, housing, social work, voluntary services, drug and alcohol, mental health, dental, secondary care and other appropriate services.
Pursue continuing professional and personal development.
Participate in operational and strategic planning for the development of the practice.
Maintains GMC registration and license to practice.
