Job summary
Nursing Associates bridge the gap between Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses, playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care.
In primary care, you will support the clinical team by conducting assessments, administering treatments, and promoting health and well-being. Your work enhances patient access to care, ensuring a smooth and efficient service within the practice.
Main duties of the job
- Patient Assessments:Conduct clinical observations, including blood pressure, pulse, oxygen levels, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Wound Care & Dressings:Perform simple wound care & dressings, and removal of sutures/clips.
- Chronic Disease Monitoring:Support management of long-term conditions such as diabetes, COPD, and hypertension through routine checks and patient education.
- Phlebotomy & Sample Collection:Take blood, urine, and swab samples for diagnostic testing.
- Administering Medications:Provide vaccinations, including child immunisations, flu vaccines, and other injections as required.
