Job summary

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our busy but friendly team, serving 10,000 patients. The ideal candidate will therefore have excellent communication and customer care skills, be able to demonstrate a calm and reassuring manner and be willing to work independently as well as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

Working under the direct supervision of the senior practice nurse and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

About us

We are a friendly practice covering the Sowerby Bridge area with on site parking and have 10,000 patients.

We have two GP partners, salaried GPs and an established nursing team who are approachable and supportive.

New patient health checks

BP checks

B12 injections

Flu/Pneumonia vaccinations

Suture removal

Simple dressings

Phlebotomy

Processing of laboratory samples

Vaccine/cold chain storage monitoring and recording

Re-stocking consulting rooms

Training in these areas will be given to the successful applicant
