Health Care Assistant

Job summary

Willingham Surgery is looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, committed team who work hard to provide the best possible service to our patients.

Our Health Care Assistant will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be flexible and cooperative, and work well in a team. You will be able to follow clinical policy and procedure.

Main duties of the job

A healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) is essential, and you will need to be competent with ECGs, venepuncture, new patient medicals (height, weight, BP, pulse). It would be preferable to be competent in wound care/removal of sutures and staples/ear syringe etc but this is not an essential. There will be training opportunities for the successful candidate to develop new skills/interests.

We are lucky to have a well-established practice team and a positive working environment. We are an askmyGP practice and our clinical records are held on SystmOne which is integrated with other parts of the local NHS.

Our team consists of 1 GP partner, 3 salaried GPs, 2 ANP, and excellent nursing, reception and admin support.

Our rural practice is situated in a beautiful corner of Lincolnshire between Gainsborough and Lincoln. We are proud to be a 'green' practice, having recently invested in solar panels, and offer free delivery to our dispensing patients in our electric delivery vehicle.
