Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team for three days a week (Monday, Tuesday & Friday). Previous or current experience of working within primary care is required. With a teamwork focus you will help us in developing our primary care services to the practice population and the Network.

Main duties of the job

ANPs operating in primary care have a wide range of skills, a broad knowledge base, and the ability to deliver specific aspects of care. At times these will need to be supplemented by the skills of specialist health care professionals in both primary and secondary care, and include use of a range of diagnostic and screening services. Collaboratively working with colleagues in the same area of practice, or refer to and share care with colleagues in more specialist areas.

The post holder will be an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.

We are a friendly team working harmoniously together to achieve the best possible care for our patients. Our team consists of: GP Partner, Salaried GP, ANP, Practice Nurse, HCA, Practice Manager, Office Manager, Receptionists and Administrative staff.
