Job summary

The post holder will provide comprehensive and high quality efficient patients services in the reception and admn team. The post holder will work in a challenging environment that undergoes constant changes and will need to exercise judgement and use a combination of skills to deal with day-to-day issues. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a sensitive and caring attitude that is client-focused and maintain a calm and organised approach when working under pressure.

Main duties of the job

  • File medical reports, correspondences, results, etc in patient notes according to internal procedures
  • Scan clinical letters, reports etc and non-medical papers using software
  • Deal with telephone queries from patients appropriately and efficiently
  • Participate fully and share knowledge and information in order to achieve team objectives and high quality standards
  • Support colleagues and promote good working practices
  • Communicate effectively by competent use of email, telephone, and memos according to guidelines
  • Handling prescription requests
  • Extraction of medical records for GP, Solicitors, Insurance Companies
  • Participate in any relevant training to further your skills and knowledge as directed by Practice Manager or GP
  • Undertake any other duties as requested when other members of staff are absent
  • Patient registration on EMIS Web registration template accurately
  • To undertake any training internally or externally
  • To efficiently deal with online consultation and triage them appropriately as per internal process

About us

We are a medium size Practice in the prime location of Finchley area. We are in a purpose built premises. We are operating from this location for over 35 years. We use EMIS Web, accuRx, Test Quest (TQ) and Docman software. We are a small but friendly team of clinicians and non-clinicians.

Job responsibilities

  • To check and ensure that all lights and bulbs, central heating system, are switched off; closed all doors and windows; check all toilets while closing the Practice.
