Job summary
We are a friendly, forward looking and enthusiastic PMS practice of 18,500 patients. The practice has easy access from the A19 and Durham.We are a training practice and host GP Registrars and also support with supervision and mentoring of Foundation Doctors , Medical Students and various ARRS roles including Physician Associates, Pharmacists, FCP and other inhouse development roles. As any of our current GPs would say :-
· 10-20 min appointments depending on complexity· Fabulous ANP team and PA's who do the majority of home visits· Work shared equally between all GPs· On call day supported by trainees and other development roles· Coffee and lunchtime with colleagues· Weekly clinical meetings as a clinicians peer group· Monthly protected learning afternoon· Exclusive GPs only and a wider clinicians whatsapp group allowing peer support and communication on the go· Supportive community nursing team· Funded practice night outs and team events· Birthdays and other significant achievements celebratory lunches· Quarterly excellence awards and more.We are committed to offering ongoing investment and support in professional development creating a natural career path and would also support GP Fellowship, Career Start and Retainer programmes. Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Primary Care Team, the GP will manage a case load, dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting. The post holder will work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are provided for all registered and temporary patients. The post holder will also contribute to planning and decision making as a part of the wider practice team.
