We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist/Administrator to join our dedicated team. This is a frontline role, critical to the smooth operation of the surgery and to providing high-quality care and support to our patients. The successful candidate(s) will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a key part in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and confidential service.
Main duties of the job
Receiving, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Providing general assistance to the practice team and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

Reception Duties:
- Welcoming patients and visitors in a courteous and efficient manner
- Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using the clinical system accurately
- Managing patient check-in process and monitoring waiting area to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handling patient queries in person, by telephone, or email, maintaining a helpful and respectful approach at all times
- Assisting with patient registration, deductions, and change of details
- Handling patient concerns or complaints professionally and escalating where necessary.
Administrative Duties:
- Extracting all information from clinical letters that needs coding and adding to notes.
- Arranging appointments, referrals, tests, patient requests and follow up appointments of patients from different sources including Docman tasks and EMIS tasks.
- Scanning and filing clinical correspondence and documents to patient records
- Providing administrative support to clinicians and management
