Your primary responsibilities will involve providing administrative and clinical assistance to GPs and the wider primary care team, ensuring the smooth flow of operations and the highest standards of service.

Job responsibilities

Provide administrative support to GPs, including managing patient records, appointment scheduling, and data entry.

Assist in coordinating patient care, including handling referrals, prescriptions, and arranging follow-up appointments.

Conduct initial patient assessments, including taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for consultations.

Communicate with patients, both in-person and over the phone, to provide information, answer inquiries, and offer support.

Collaborate with the primary care team to ensure effective care coordination and patient management.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.

Assist in the implementation and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.

Support the PCN's health promotion activities by providing educational materials and organizing community events.

Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of PCN policies, protocols, and procedures.

Stay updated with the latest medical guidelines, protocols, and regulatory requirements relevant to primary care.

Treatment to patients including NHS health checks, BP checks, ECGs, Venepuncture, Injections, Testing Urine, etc.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
