We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to join our team at Heatherlands Medical Centre. Our team consists of 4 GP's, 1 Nurse, 1 HCA, Secretary and 5 receptionists. We are a small but friendly team, working hard to support our 5,000 patients and the local community.
Main duties of the job
Main duties will be: providing care for the presenting patient, taking history, clinical assessment and evaluation of care. To support and manage conditions such as Asthma, COPD as well as supporting with: Cervical Smears, Child Imms, Dressings, Dementia Reviews, Diabetic reviews, Dressings, Ear Syringe, Spirometry and vaccinations. To work collaboratively with the GP's and existing staff. To manage ordering and stock taking, liaise with Child Health regarding child Immunisations and support with Qof targets.
Heatherlands has a population of 5,000 patients and the list size is continuing to increase. We are a small but supportive and friendly team. We take part in a lot of community support work and have a very active PPG. We have a pharmacy on site and off-road parking.

Job responsibilities
- Recognise and work within own competence and professional code of conduct as regulated by the NMC Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of patient consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures
- Prioritise, organise and manage own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality
- Deliver care according to NSF, NICE guidelines and evidence-based care
- Assess effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review, benchmarking and formal evaluation
