Phlebotomist

Job summary

We are looking for a phlebotomist to join our friendly, expanding nursing team. Within the nursing team we have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, three prescribing nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistants and a Trainee Nurse Associate.

The role is suitable for someone who can work 3-4 hours per day in the week only, in the mornings, the role can be undertaken from 8am or can be after a school drop off time.

The team are busy dealing with the needs of the patients of Bakewell and Tideswell. We have a need for an extra phlebotomist who will support the team.

The wider team consists of GP's, Registrars, Physician Associate, Pharmacy Technician, reception and admin teams, dispensers. They are supported by a management team. All the staff are friendly and regularly get together outside of work.

The role can be worked around school times in the morning.

Main duties of the job

The role will consist of taking blood samples that have been requested by the clinicians, labelling and ensuring they are ready to send to the lab.

We are a systmone practice, training can be given for the clinical system.

The practice currently led by 2 GP Partners and a management team.
