We are a busy, active practice located in Hendon
NW4.
We are currently looking to recruit a receptionist with excellent communication skills. Previous experience working in a GP surgery is essential, and training will be given to the right applicant. As the first point of contact, this role is
integral to our approach to patient care, both face to face and on the
telephone.
Main duties of the job
The Medical Receptionist role is for an enthusiastic,
positive, self-motivated individual who can work both independently and as part
of our growing team. Our reception team are the first link for many patients
and visitors who come to the surgery. The role varies on a day-to-day basis
including greeting patients as they arrive and checking them in, collecting
patient notes and ensure that these vital records go to the right healthcare
professional. The day-to-day also involves using the clinical system and other
software programmes to make appointments, booking patient transport, booking
interpreters and dealing with test results. In addition, responding to tasks
from clinical and non-clinical staff, liaising with external community services
and emergency services and general administration.
Previous experience of working in GP Surgery is necessary.
Candidate should have excellent communication skills and good telephone
manners. An ability to work under pressure and working as a team is very
important. Meeting targets and dealing with challenging tasks will be a key
point for this role.
About us
Our existing team is friendly, helpful and
experienced. The practice team consists of 2 Partner GPs, 7 GPs, 3 practice
nurses, 1 Health Care Assistant, 4 pharmacists, social prescriber's, first
contact physio's, practice manager, admin and reception managers, and admin and
reception staff.
