serving approximately 24,000 patients across three sites. We are looking for a proactive Research &
Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team.

The research team is well established and supportive,
already consisting of a committed Research Lead GP Partner and a dedicated
Research Projects Manager who oversee study delivery and engagement. We are a motivated,
experienced team with a proven track record of successful recruitment and a
genuine enthusiasm for developing research within primary care.
As an active recruiting practice for primary care research,
with an expanding research portfolio this role will be essential to delivering
high-quality research alongside core practice nursing activity.
Main duties of the job
This is a varied and rewarding post combining clinical practice nursing with research delivery, including:
- Supporting and delivering NIHR and commercial research studies
- Patient identification, screening, consent, and follow-up
- Clinical procedures related to research protocols (e.g. observations, phlebotomy, ECGs where trained)
- Working closely with GPs, multidisciplinary teams, care homes, local pharmacy and external research networks
- Maintaining accurate documentation in line with GCP and governance standards
Depending on experience and research service need, the role will also include:
- Chronic disease management
- Health promotion and preventative care
- Immunisations and treatment room duties

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Research Nurse / General Practice Nurse to join our GP surgery on a part-time, fixed-term basis. The post holder will work across clinical general practice nursing duties and the delivery of high-quality primary care research studies.
The role involves supporting the identification, recruitment, consent and follow-up of patients participating in research, alongside providing safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care to the practice population. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the wider primary care team and external research partners to ensure research is delivered in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and governance requirements.

- Identify, screen and recruit eligible patients for research studies in line with study protocolsObtain informed consent in accordance with GCP and ethical approvals
