Job summary
The suitable candidates would be able to undertake general maintenance and upkeep of grounds, buildings & equipment, as well actioning all maintenance and continuous review and improvement of facilities operations, ensuring the environment is compliant, safe and well maintained to the highest standards.
Reporting to the Operations & Compliance Manager you will be our only maintenance person in the team dealing with the day to day maintenance issues. Working closely with Management Support team who will coordinate your jobs and responsibilities
Main duties of the job
1. To undertake general building maintenance and repairs throughout the Hub, including plumbing, minor electrical repairs/work, painting and decorating, and minor building work, including student houses
2.Weekly testing of emergency lighting, H&S checks and legionella testing
3.Maintain pathways/steps around buildings throughout the year
4.Assist with all deliveries
5.Keep tools and store room tidy
6. Emptying of public bins around all 3 sites
