Job summary
THE HEREWARD PRACTICE, BOURNE is looking to recruit a prescribing nurse practitioner to work 37.5 hours a week help care for our patients during a period of maternity leave for up to 12 months.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work autonomously but collaboratively with multi-professional teams to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures.
In summary, the post holder is an experienced prescribing practitioner who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.

Supporting the overarching Lakeside Healthcare Group strategy and service delivery, the post holder will provide complete episodes of care for patients with a wide variety and range of presenting problems and health care needs. Working within the NMC Code of Conduct and utilising primary care skills and experience, the post holder will provide advanced care interventions.
