Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join us in a key Management Support role. Working at the heart of the practice, this position supports all areas of the management team, helping to ensure the smooth and compliant operation of services across the surgery.
The successful candidate will be joining a welcoming, proactive team and will work closely with colleagues across all departments. This role is vital in supporting all areas of the management team, contributing to operational efficiency, compliance and the delivery of safe, effective services across the practice. Main duties of the job
Operational Support
- Deliver and monitor routine Health & Safety and premises checks, ensuring compliance with national/local standards
- Act as the first point of contact for maintenance, IT, phone, and security systems issues
- Manage stock levels of essential supplies
Compliance & Communication
- Support audits, compliance processes and updates to Health & Safety and Infection Control procedures
- Coordinate staff training and inductions, maintain accurate compliance records
- Assist with complaints and significant event handling, from logging to investigation support
IT & Systems
- Maintain an understanding of key IT and clinical systems (e.g. RADAR)
- Provide system support, troubleshooting and user training
- Report IT issues and support system upgrades and best practice use
Patient & External Engagement
- Support operational aspects of patient complaints and special clinics (e.g. flu)
- Help manage internal and external communications, deputise when needed
- Stay informed of NHS and primary care changes that affect the practice
General Administration
- Lead or support non-clinical meetings, including agendas and minutes
- Provide flexible administrative cover and act as a central hub of information

About the Practice/Department/Team
The Stamford Surgery is a well-established, dynamic GP practice serving a growing patient population of approximately 28,000 patients. As part of the Lakeside Healthcare Group, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Our team is made up of dedicated healthcare professionals and support staff, including GPs, nurses, advanced clinical practitioners, healthcare assistants, and an experienced administrative and management team. Together, we work collaboratively to ensure the smooth running of the practice and the highest standard of service for our patients.
