Billinge Medical Practice

Salaried GP Opportunity Billinge Medical Practice

The closing date is 30 May 2025

Job summary

About Us Billinge Medical Practice provides care to a diverse population across Billinge, Orrell and surrounding areas. We are proud to be part of North Primary Care Network (PCN) and host the Urgent Care Hub one day a week, helping to strengthen access across the network.

We also benefit from a dedicated Home Visiting Service, reducing the burden of home visits on our in-practice GPs and enabling us to prioritise high-quality, proactive care for our vulnerable and housebound patients.

Following a change in partnership in December 2023, the practice has made significant progress across all areas of care and governance. In September 2024, we achieved a Good rating across all domains in our CQC inspection a reflection of the commitment, stability and strong leadership now in place. This marks a new chapter for the practice and were proud of the improvements weve made.

We have a growing and active Patient Participation Group (PPG), co-chaired by two engaged patient representatives. With over 30 members, the PPG plays a meaningful role in shaping our services and supporting the wider practice. They produce a quarterly newsletter and provide valuable feedback to ensure our patients voices are heard.

Our patients regularly provide positive feedback via NHS Choices, praising our approachable team, personalised care and responsive service. This feedback matters to us and helps shape our priorities.
