Salaried GP - 6 or 7 sessions per week

Due to an increasing practice list size we are looking to increase our salaried GP workforce. The sessions will cover:

  • Monday - 1 session
  • Tuesday - 2 sessions
  • Wednesday - 2 sessions
  • Thursday - 2 sessions
Hope Farm Medical Centre is a well-established NHS General Practice that delivers high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population of 15,128 patients across Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.

This multidisciplinary team includes clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, mental health occupational therapists, first contact physiotherapists, a dementia practitioner with support provided via our care coordinators and GP Assistants.

Main duties of the job

As a Salaried GP, you will:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients across all ages and clinical needs.
  • Conduct consultations (primarily face-to-face, with some telephone and video where appropriate).
  • Provide afternoon duty doctor cover on a rotation
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions, including long-term condition reviews and preventive care.
  • One session per week will be providing a ward round to one of our care homes, supported by an ANP and Nurse Associate
  • Offer management of common presentations, women's health, children's health, vaccinations, and clinical procedures as appropriate.
  • Contribute to practice QOF performance, clinical audits, and quality improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (nurses, GP assistants, pharmacists, and PCN colleagues) and engage with enhanced access services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with practice policies.
