The Clinical
Coder and Front Desk Assistant role at Tower Family Healthcare requires enthusiastic, friendly, positive,

role that combines administrative responsibilities with direct patient
interaction. As a Clinical Coder & Front Desk Assistant, you will play an
essential role in supporting both our administrative processes and the wider
clinical team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual for the role of Clinical Coder & Front Desk Assistant. This is a rewarding dual role that combines administrative skills using Docman, with direct patient contact as part of our front desk reception team [first floor Minden site].

We are a large GP practice with a multi skilled clinical team that works over four sites. Our sites are located in Bury town centre, Greenmount, Tottington and in Radcliffe.
We provide services to around 50,000 registered patients, thats a quarter of the population of Bury, and our patients can access services across all four of our sites.

To receive, assist and direct patients
in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous,
efficient and effective way, always maintaining confidentiality.

Reception desk duties maintaining a
friendly, professional and courteous manner
Ability to clear large workload
accurately and under pressure
Answering the telephone in a

Accurate message taking and conveying
to appropriate person via Emis & Docman10
Filing and accurate record keeping with
attention to detail
Following practice policies and office
procedures; copy notes, printing GPR, ECG watch, OMRON (Blood Pressure
monitors), annual recalls/reviews, healthchecks, flu recalls, child
immunisation appointments
Completing work as per start and end of
day checklists
Referral management and liaising with
providers
Liaising with other agencies where
appropriate such as; local pharmacies, district nurses, midwives, health
visitors, care homes, ambulance control, hospitals etc
Typing
Notes summarising & read coding
Carrying
out duties requested by the GP partners, Senior Leadership Team and
practice team as appropriate to the role
Escalating
problems to the appropriate member of staff where necessary
