Job summary
Executive management position is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and directing the overall clinical operations for the practice. Participates in the development and implementation of the practices vision and values. Reporting to the Partnership Board and working closely with the other Executive Committee members, the COO will:
Provide strategic leadership of the practices operational functions
Have overall responsibility for executing daily operations for the practice
Liaise with department managers and relevant practice leads and other external stakeholders as required.
Main duties of the job
Guide, direct and lead the Business Operations from a strategic perspective
Input into the practices strategic planning process and translate the overall strategy into actionable plans to ensure achievement of business goals and objectives
Working closely with the Executive Director of Finance and Business Development enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost effectiveness and high-quality patient care
Strategic review of performance on a regular basis to determine whether the practice is meeting its short-and long-term contractual and strategic objectives
Highlight areas of operational risk in conjunction with proposed suggested options for solutions
Participates in the evolution and refinement of quality improvement processes
Facilitate the establishment of key process performance metrics, monitor performance, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for the Partnership Board
Ensure the practice follows all regulatory requirements and agreements
Maintain and build trusted relationships with patients, partners, and stakeholders
Meets regularly with other managers and relevant practice leads to promote communication and cohesiveness between the different practice departments and practice sites
Monitor the adherence of employees to guidelines, policies and procedures, working closely with the practices HR department as required
Ensure all staff are professionally managed, mentored and developed as part of performance management practice
About us

clinical team is diverse including GPs and GP Assistants, Practice Paramedics,
Pharmacists, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and highly skilled Health
Care Assistants, working closely with a range of additional roles including an
Acute Visiting Service and First Contact Physiotherapists.
To allow more
time to care, our clinical team is underpinned by a very experienced team of receptionists
and administrators, as well as a range of inhouse corporate functions covering
themes such as HR, IT, finance, administration and management support and
communications.
