Job summary
To be responsible
for the efficient management and direction of the administration team, ensuring
all administrative duties are performed effectively and to the required
standard, meeting the objectives of the practice.
To support the
management team in promoting ED&I, SHEF, quality and continuous
improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning
and development, and to carry out other duties as directed by the management
team.
Main duties of the job
Overseeing administration and support operations of the practice
Line managing administrative staff, supporting development,
providing guidance, ensuring staff are up to date with mandatory training
Staff appraisals
Staff inductions
Identifying and delivering team training
Compiling staff rotas
Supporting the management team in the compilation of practice
reports and the practice development plan
Developing, implementing and embedding efficient office
processes and procedures to adhere to extant legislation
Coordinating the provision of temporary administrative and
reception staff, ensuring sufficient cover is provided for periods of leave and
other staff absences
Ordering of stock/consumables and managing all deliveries to the
practice, ensuring adherence to the cold chain policy as necessary
Acting as building fire marshal, ensuring evacuation lists are
current and that the visitors log is used appropriately
Ensuring general tidiness of branch sites and reporting of any
premises issues
Responsibility for purchasing items through the petty cash
system
Recording and receiving monies in accordance with the practice
protocol
Updating notice boards
About us
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bolton Community Practice team. We are a busy GP surgery with four sites across Bolton delivering GP services to a population of over 15,000 patient's. We are an EMIS Web practice. Applicants must be flexible to cover annual leave and sickness when necessary.The successful candidate will be required to work Saturday mornings 09:00 - 13:00 on a rota basis at our Astley-Dale Branch, Waters Meeting Health Centre.
