Job summary

We are a friendly and welcoming GP Practice located in the heart of Enfield, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic medical receptionist/administrator to join our team.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, contractors, and visitors, both in person and over the phone. You will use your compassion and friendly nature to project a positive image and provide excellent customer service to everyone who walks through our doors.

We understand that a successful practice requires a strong administrative team, and as a receptionist/administrator, you will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You will be responsible for a range of administrative and reception duties, including booking appointments, dealing with telephone, face to face and electronic enquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and home visits, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assisting patients to access our services and those available in the wider community.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, an effective communicator, and eager to learn. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of people and professions, including our clinical and administration teams, and gain valuable experience in the healthcare sector.

  • A level or equivalent
  • IT skills are essential, as you will be regularly creating searches, data input, and monitoring our achievements and progress against national, local, and internal targets. You will also process prescription requests and provide full administrative patient services.

Desirable

  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care (preferred)

Experience
