Practice Nurse

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity (due to relocation) for an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly, well-established GP Practice in Woodley, Stockport.

This is a part time position for 30 hours per week over 4 days, to include an extended access clinic until 8pm on a Tuesday.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be registered with the NMC and have experience of working in a GP Practice setting. Competency in all aspects of Primary Care nursing duties, including chronic disease management, travel and child immunisations, cervical cytology, sexual health and contraception is preferred.We welcome any special interests which would enhance our patient care within the practice.

Archwood Medical Practice is a busy practice with a patient population of just under 8000 patients. Our team includes 6 GPs (4 GP Partners), Advanced Practitioner, Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Healthcare Assistants and a range of associated health professionals working with us as part of our Primary Care Network.

We are located in Woodley Health Centre a modern purpose-built building with excellent facilities for patients and staff including on-site parking. The health centre houses both primary care and community services (including District Nurses and Health Visitors) conducive to regular contact with our community colleagues.

Woodley is situated on the edge of the Peak District, close to J25 of the M60 and a short drive to Manchester city centre, Woodley and the surrounding area is served by excellent road, rail and bus services and good local schools.
