Job summary
Whitstable Medical Practice is looking for a practitioner/advanced clinician to join our Urgent Treatment Centre working 30 + hours per week. Applicants will need to have experience of urgent care, ambulatory care or same day emergency care.
We are looking for an experienced practitioner, who acts within their professional boundaries, to provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the general practice, the community and Urgent Treatment Centre. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and providing clinical leadership as required.
We are looking for candidates who can work autonomously within our busy Urgent Treatment Centre. Excellent communication skills with evidence of leadership qualities and experience of using medical software package are also required.

We are a training practice and run various in house contracts including Cataract surgery, Ultrasound, Dermatology, Physical Therapies and Audiology together with further community contracts, a Day Surgery Suite and an Urgent Treatment Centre with digital x-ray.

- Nurse practitioner, Emergency care degree, relevant degree or equivalent level training in related field. Experience in assessment, diagnosis and management of patients.
