Fixed-term Salaried GP

Job summary

We are seeking a fixed-term Salaried GP for a 1-year position, offering 5-6 sessions per week.

Our practice operates across two sites: our main surgery is in the heart of Cambridges historic city centre, adjacent to Corpus Christi College, and our branch modern, purpose-built branch healthcare centre in the nearby village of Trumpington.

Parking is available at both sites.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to provide medical care and services to the practice population, managing a clinical caseload and dealing with a diverse range of health needs.

About us

We are a long-established practice with 5 partners, 10 salaried GPs, and 3 registrars. Our supportive, forward-thinking, and cohesive team also includes practice nurses, healthcare assistants, clinical pharmacists, social prescribers, and a large patient services administration team.

Our strong management team prioritises technology and IT innovations to enhance efficiency and optimise time management.

Our patient list exceeds 20,900, comprising a diverse population that includes a significant student cohort (approximately 30% at our city centre surgery) alongside a more traditional general practice population.

We are a well-led training practice, welcoming GP trainees and medical students, and operate using the SystmOne clinical system.

We have a proactive and well-run Patient Participation Group, with regular meetings, educational sessions, and GP huddles to ensure ongoing engagement.

To promote a healthy work/life balance, we incorporate coffee breaks into morning clinics and offer opportunities for staff social events.
