Job summary
Whitby Health Partnership are seeking a Nurse Associate or currently training Nurse Associate to join the team.
Ideally you already have experience in primary care and have completed your Nurse Associate degree or are currently completing this now. You will be looking for further professional development and be open to learning further skills to widen your Practice Nurse repertoire.
The role requires resilience and the ability to be flexible and adaptable. You will be confident to work alone without direct supervision at times; but you will also be part of a wider nursing team, so there will be support available when required. At times you will be required to complete home visits, but you will be based at the practice for the vast majority of the time.
Main duties of the job
Nurses in General Practice deliver care to the local population, but also have an understanding of the public health profile of the area.
A Nurse associate working within General Practice will carry out many routine and requested services for its patients. These range from travel and baby immunisation, chronic disease management, contraception, flu vaccinations, hormone injections and ear irrigation.
There is scope to learn further skills and develop professionally within the pracrice.

Whitby Health Partnership is a large GP Surgery with 16,200 patients offering a variety of health services to its community. We are a new partnership with ambitious plans for the future development of the practice.
The current structure of our nursing team consists of 4 practice nurses and 2 healthcare assistants.
