Salaried GP opportunity in Ellesmere Port ideally
commutable from Chester/North Wales/Wirral/Liverpool and Central/Western
Cheshire Villages.
Whitby Health Partnership is a friendly and supportive

looking for a salaried GP for up to 6 sessions (will consider job share).
Main duties of the job
Appointments are 15 minutes with up to 12-14 contacts a
session, and are a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments
We have a dedicated home visiting GP so no squeezing in
visits on other days!
We have at least 2 duty doctors each day well supported by
our ANPs, one GP with have a 6:30pm finish
There is an option for some home working and also open to
flexible start and finish times if needed

16,000 patients part of One Ellesmere Port PCN, 9 Partners,
3 salaried GPs, 3 current trainees
wider team includes our HCAs, practice nurses, ANPs, a
prescribing team which includes a pharmacist and pharmacy technician, social
prescribers, physios, a mental health OT and a team of care coordinators.
Salary - £9785 per session, Pay award in April, includes indemnity cover, 6 weeks
annual leave, 1 week study leave and protected learning time each month.

About us
Both experienced and newly qualified GPs welcomed and well
supported, can provide mentoring if preferred, and we regularly meet up for
coffees, lunch and catch ups. Recent practice socials have included Chester
Races, Curry Night and a Christmas do in Chester. We are a friendly group who
support each other, and importantly we leave on time!
We encourage special interests, and we can also provide
opportunities for mentoring and teaching for those interested as we host
medical students, foundation doctors and GP trainees.

following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on
occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon
factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a.
The
delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b.
The
provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
c.
Generic
prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d.
Effective
management of long-term conditions
e.
Processing
of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests
and other associated administrative tasks
f.
On
a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
g.
Maintain
accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and
guidance
h.
Working
collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i.
Adhere
to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
j.
Contribute
to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality
initiatives within the practice
k.
Accept
delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF

Attend
and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
