Job summary
We are looking for a PA to join our friendly team. This is a busy and challenging role and one which will require you to be an organised, customer focused person with good IT skills - this is essential. Previous experience of working in a GP Surgery is a plus but not essential as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
We are looking for someone to cover 8am to 2pm 5 days a week and someone who will be able to help cover when colleagues are away.
Main duties of the job
Support the Practice Manager (PM) and deputy practice manager (DPM) as required with projects, systems and procedures
Undertake tasks as directed by the PM and DPM in areas of change management and continuous improvement
Provide key performance information as requested
Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality due to the nature of the role and with being exposed to a greater level of confidential material and data
Support the PM/DPM in monitoring compliance with mandatory checks (building compliance etc) as well as office and medical stock checks
Contribute to clinical and non-clinical audits (Clinical tasks, ERS, High-risk patients, etc)
Maintain the generic email inbox, as well as own inbox, answering queries or escalating where required
Coordinate internal and external meeting arrangements, preparing agendas and producing minutes for meetings
Undertake the call-recall process
Arrange PPG meetings, preparing agendas and producing minutes
Help with coding and scanning of documents when required
Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
Undertake all mandatory training and induction programme
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Attend a formal appraisal with their manager at least every 12 months.
Drafting private letter requests for patients for Doctor's approval
When required, helping to cover any and all reception duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice
About us
Plashet Harmony Practice is a small practice in the East Ham, Newham. We have a list size of approximately 2400 people. Whilst we are smaller than other Practices in the nearby area we are very busy and we are looking for someone who can keep up in a busy environment and who loves a challenge.
We have one named GP (male) and one regular locum female GP and we have an experienced nursing team, including a nurse practitioner and a variety of additional roles gained through the PCN including pharmacists.
