An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to work with us at our friendly Surgery.
The surgery is seeking to employ a Practice Nurse, working Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm (days/times to be decided)
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who is friendly and enthusiastic to provide a high quality of care to our patients, experience and training in chronic disease managemen, childhood immunisations & smears is essential, ear syringing, spirometry and family planning is preferred.
The successful candidate will also be confident, have excellent organisational skills, be able to self-manage and be IT proficient.
About us
We are a friendly and committed practice comprising of 2 GP Partners,1 Practice Nurse and 1 Health Care Assistant, we also have a supportive and experienced administration team.
We have a patient list of just over 3700 patients.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Chronic disease management
- Wound management including dressings
- Child and adult immunisations
- Travel vaccinations
- Screening
- Health promotion
- Ear care
- Child health/child protection
- Performing ECGs
- Venepuncture and requesting pathology testing
- Infection control
- Chaperoning and assisting patients and tidiness of nurses rooms
- Attend and participate in clinical and practice meetings when required
- Proactive in identifying own needs for personal and professional development
- Ensure all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with any current
- Provide patient care in accordance with current PGDs and clinical protocols
- Any other duties as required
