We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Nurse Manager to lead our friendly and highly skilled nursing team at a well-established, forward-thinking GP practice on the beautiful East Devon / Exeter border.

This is an exciting leadership role for a motivated nurse who is passionate about high-quality patient care, long-term condition management, leading a skilled team and encouraging their continued development.

Main duties of the job

About the Role

You will lead a supportive nursing team made up of four Practice Nurses, a Nursing Associate, and three Healthcare Assistants, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based care for our patient population.

As a senior member of our multidisciplinary team, you will combine clinical expertise with team leadership, service development, and quality improvement.

• Key areas of responsibility include:
• Clinical leadership and line management of the nursing team
• Oversight of chronic disease management programmes
• Providing high quality diabetes care
• Leading infection prevention and control (IPC) across the practice
• Vaccination and immunisation programme oversight
• Health promotion and preventative care initiatives
• Supporting the development and review of clinical policies and procedures
• Ensuring high standards of record keeping, coding, and audit
• Working collaboratively with GPs, management, and external services
• Oversight of the relevant elements of QoF and Enhanced Services

We are a two-site dispensing Practice, the largest of 5 practices making up the Outer Exeter PCN, situated on the eastern edge of Exeter, we have a growing patient population of 18,300 patients and provide primary care to a mix of city based and rural populations. The area boasts access to Dartmoor, Exmoor, beautiful beaches and the historic city of Exeter.
