Job summary
To support the practice nursing team and administrative teams in the delivery of clinical services. Working as part of a muti-disciplinary team, delivering care within your scope of practice to our practice population.
Main duties of the job
- New patient / NHS health checks
- Venepuncture
- Baseline observations - blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, height.
- Facilitate 24hr blood monitoring
- Wound care
- B12, shingles, pneumonia, flu vaccines under a PSD
- ECG's
- Ensuring all clinical rooms are stocked and prepared for each session
- Ensure fridges are routinely cleaned in accordance with guidance.
- Twice daily fridge monitoring
- Clinical waste removal from all clinical rooms
About us
Wingerworth Medical Centre is situated in the heart of Wingerworth and is a forward-thinking training practice.
Our Nursing Team consists of a Diabetic Specialist Nurse, Practice Nurse, Nursing Associate and Healthcare Assistant.
We have two GP Partners and 6 salaried GP's and one GP Retainer.
The team is strong, helpful and friendly.
As a practice we are always looking at ways to improve our service to our patients.
