Domestic Assistant (Doctor's Surgery)

Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team, responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in our GP surgery. You will be a key member of our tight-knit team.

We require someone available to work 6am-9am on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning (9hrs per week). There is potential to offer additional mornings for candidates looking for slightly more hours.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality cleaning services. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and safety of all individuals within the premises.

Main duties of the job

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including consultation rooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms.
• Ensure all surfaces are disinfected and sanitised according to health and safety regulations.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes effectively.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures to maintain consistency in service quality.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as required.

Quedgeley Medical Centre (QMC) is a family run GP practice in Quedgeley, a suburban town of Gloucester and located 3.5 miles southwest of the city centre. With approx. 7,500 patients, QMC is a growing practice with a relatively small team comprised of doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, administrative/secretarial staff, pharmacists, and others. The tight-knit team has a wonderful dynamic of mucking in and supporting one another, sharing responsibilities, and being confident and enabled to speak up and ask for help.
