Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and caring Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly GP Practice team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, supporting clinical staff, and contributing to high-quality patient care in primary care.
Main duties of the job
Carry out phlebotomy (taking bloods)
Measure and record blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and BMI
Perform ECGs
Administer flu vaccinations (training provided if required)
Undertake diabetic foot checks
Support delivery of NHS Health Checks and other screening programmes
Provide health promotion and lifestyle advice under guidance of clinicians
Accurately record information on the clinical system

- Diabetes care/foot assessment training
Desirable
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- NVQ in Clinical Healthcare or HCA qualification
- Experience in primary care or GP practice
