We offer the best terms and condition of employment plus the added benefit of being in a large supportive team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a GP for 4 clinical sessions per week, and can offer flexibility on which days these are worked.
Usual Workload:
The standard clinical workload typically consists of a clinic list of approximately 16 patients per day. These clinics are primarily face-to-face but may also include some telephone or virtual consultations, depending on patient need and service requirements. Occasionally, a home visit may be required, particularly for patients who are housebound or palliative.
In addition to direct patient care, there is an allocated 1.5 hours of administrative time each day. This is used for tasks such as reviewing blood results, managing correspondence, completing documentation, responding to patient queries, and liaising with other healthcare professionals as needed.
On-Call Commitment:
On-call duties are limited to afternoon cover, typically once per week. This involves managing any urgent patient reviews, responding to late home visit requests, and supporting the team in handling any unplanned clinical issues that arise later in the day. The on-call commitment is designed to be manageable and is supported by the wider clinical team.
About us
You will be fully supported by a strong leadership team, including clinical lead GPs, four experienced senior partners, and a highly skilled and proactive administrative team.
Our administrative staff are exceptional and work collaboratively with clinicians, under a shared philosophy that general practice should be clinically led and managerially supported. This creates a well-organized, efficient, and patient-focused environment where clinical care is prioritized.
We consistently achieve outstanding results in QOF and the delivery of enhanced services, reflecting our commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.
Our in-house clinical pharmacist plays a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient prescribing across the practice. In addition to managing prescribing audits and medicines optimisation, they also handle Docman, manage complex prescription queries, and run independent hypertension clinics providing invaluable support to the clinical team.
