As part of our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence, we are expanding our multidisciplinary team to include a Clinical Pharmacist a role that is becoming increasingly vital in modern primary care. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, skilled, and patient-focused pharmacist to join us and help shape the way we deliver healthcare.

Main duties of the job

Essential

  • Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Completion of an MPharm or equivalent pharmacy degree
  • Independent prescribing qualification is desirable or the pharmacist should be willing to work towards it
  • Membership of professional bodies like the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is desirable.
  • Completion of the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway is expected for primary care competence

Desirable

  • Minimum 2-3 years post-registration experience in pharmacy, with exposure to clinical, community, or hospital settings
  • Experience or awareness of common acute and long-term conditions managed in general practice
  • Familiarity with primary care prescribing practices, medication optimisation, polypharmacy, and patient safety protocols
  • Previous involvement in clinical medication reviews, polypharmacy management, and patient consultations is advantageous
  • Experience with care home or domiciliary reviews can be desirable
