Locum GP - Maternity Cover

Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated GP to join our friendly and supportive practice team for a maternity locum role.

This part time position is for a fixed-term contract starting in July 2025, with flexibility around the working days with a duration of at least 9 months.

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to delivering high-quality, patient centred care.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely manner.

We are a well established 6 partner GP practice service 12,000+ patients in south central Blackpool. Our multidisciplinary team includes nurses, pharmacists, healthcare assistants, as well as experienced administrative and reception team. We are an active member of a proactive and supportive Primary Care Network (PCN).

As an accredited training practice, we provide education for GP trainees. Our team includes experienced trainers committed to mentoring the next generation of clinicians.

Our experienced practice nursing team lead on chronic disease management.

  • Registered on the NHS Performers List
