Reception Team Leader/Care Co-Ordinator

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader to manage our small but busy reception Team and area to ensure we deliver a smooth, efficient and professional service to patients, clinicians and visitors.

Main duties of the job

Patient services/Care Co-Ordinator

Deal with complaints in accordance with practice complaints procedure and evaluate suggestions

Ensure adequate staffing for patient services

Ensure all online patient services are kept up to date and patients informed

Ensure systems are in place for marrying up of notes and recording of data

Work as part of the reception front desk to ensure cover is met

Support Administration team in the annual calling of patients for flu and other vaccination clinic

Be main contact for aligned care home

Employed staff

Provide induction training for new staff and ongoing training for existing staff to ensure that they remain abreast of new developments

Manage and monitor areas of poor performance within the reception team when identified

Ensure Practice policies are followed and accurate records are kept with particular reference to: appointments, messages, visits, post, patient registration, repeat prescriptions, filing systems, births and deaths

Implementation and maintenance of staff rotas to reflect needs of the business

Liaise with management team concerning staffing and organisation of work

Liaise with other members of the primary health care team, outside agencies and Practice volunteers as required

Admin

Attend staff meetings

Liaise and work with Office Manager to ensure admin work is flowed correctly

About us

Hough Green Health Park provides care and support to around 5000 patients in the Widnes area. We are a small and friendly practice with a fantastic team of GPs, Practice Nurses, ANP, HCA, Clinical Pharmacist, Admin and Reception staff. Plus other non clinical staff who support our Practice and patient population.
