Job summary
An
experienced minor ops trained Health Care Assistant working in conjunction
with other health care professionals to assist in Vasectomy procedures for patients in the primary care setting.
The post holder will be trained to assist in
minor operations procedures and deliver a high standard of patient care as a Clinical
employee, using clinical skill, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge
base.
Main duties of the job
Manage own clinical workload, responding effectively to identified
patient health need
Assist
in Vasectomy procedures
Provide patient counselling sessions and advice ahead
of vasectomy procedure about treatments
Maintain minor operations training and knowledge of latest
guidelines local and national guidance related to respiratory management

The Sutton PCNs shape and deliver health care with our practices to improve patient outcomes. We have developed a comprehensive strategy for the development of the Sutton PCNs. The post holder will have a key role in supporting the development of our Extended Access and as such will be required to have significant experience of either primary care or development of small or emerging organisations. guidelines and participate in practice-based research where appropriate.
- Provide a holistic service to patients, their families and carers,
developing, where appropriate, an on-going plan of care/support, which
includes advice on prevention and self-care.
- Promote health and well-being using health promotion, health
education and therapeutic communication skills.
- Record contemporaneous, accurate consultation data in patients
records in accordance with the latest NMC guidance and other pertinent
standards.

- Make professionally autonomous decisions for which he/she is
accountable.
