Job summary
Fantastic opportunity to join our award-winning, training and research-active practice as a Salaried GP. We are leaders in deprivation medicine, with a strong track record of innovation to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for our diverse patient population.
Our proactive approach includes Enhanced NHS Health Checks for early disease detection and protected appointments for our most vulnerable patients. We work closely with our in-house Integrated Health Worker and neighbourhood teams to address psychosocial needs, and to drive improvements in cancer screening and immunisation uptake.
We are committed to clinical excellence and innovation - offering early access to new treatments and utilising the latest health technology, with patient safety at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a Salaried GP for 4 to 6 sessions per week (salary negotiable, dependent on experience). We offer flexible clinic timings to support work-life balance, 15-minute appointments, and protected admin time. Team wellbeing and development are central, with twice-weekly MDT catch-ups, a weekly Wellness Walk, and monthly QI and in-house CPD sessions.
You will join a supportive, high-performing multidisciplinary team including GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, PAs, Nurses, HCAs, First Contact Physios, a PCN Dietitian, and Mental Health Worker. We actively support portfolio development in education, research, CVRM, womens health, and respiratory medicine.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity to work as an autonomous GP within a forward-thinking, high-performing practice. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding, patient-centred care to our diverse population, maintaining the highest clinical standards in line with the GMS contract.
Your sessions will offer variety and professional stimulation, incorporating a balanced mix of clinics, triage, and on-call responsibilities. You will be fully supported with comprehensive induction and training in our well-established systems and standard operating procedures.
As a valued member of the team, you will uphold the principles of GMC Good Medical Practice, while actively contributing to service development and the ongoing success of the practice. We are looking for a GP who leads with integrity, brings enthusiasm to collaborative working, and thrives within a multidisciplinary environment.
You will work closely with a skilled and supportive MDT, fostering positive relationships and contributing to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and shared learning.
About us
We are a dynamic, inner-city training practice serving a diverse population of nearly 15,000 patients across two sites: Longsight Health Centre and Moss Side Health Centre.
Since 2017, we have been a research-active organisation, offering our patients access to cutting-edge studies in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and mental health. We are proud leaders in inclusive research - recognised with NIHR strategic funding to establish the Greater Manchester Inclusive Research Network (GM IRN), in partnership with the University of Manchester and NIHR ARC-GM. Building on this success, we secured nationally competitive NIHR funding in November 2025 to develop a state-of-the-art on-site research unit.
Education is central to our identity. We train GPs, Foundation Doctors, Physician Associates, and Pharmacists within a supportive and progressive learning environment. Our innovative Primary Care Consultant (GP) on-call model promotes real-time supervision, mentorship, and team development across our multidisciplinary workforce.
As an active member of Ardwick and Longsight PCN, we work closely with integrated neighbourhood teams across Hulme, Moss Side & Rusholme, and Ardwick & Longsight - delivering collaborative, place-based care that meets the complex needs of our community.
