Job summary

Kingswood Surgery is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Nurseto join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team. You will deliver high-quality nursing care to our patient population and work collaboratively with our clinicians and nursing colleagues.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing excellent care, with a strong emphasis on chronic disease management, immunisations, and screening programmes. Some leadership responsibilities may be available depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care, including chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension)

  • Administer childhood and adult immunisations, wound care, cervical cytology, and health promotion

  • Support and contribute to QOF, local enhanced services, and other clinical targets

  • Work collaboratively with nursing team and the wider multidisciplinary team

  • Participate in clinical audits, infection control, and cold chain management

  • Contribute to service development and ensuring safe, effective care delivery

Kingswood Surgery is a well-established GP practice in High Wycombe, caring for approximately 10,500 patients. Our team includes 3 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, a GP Returner, GP Trainees, and a dedicated Nursing and Pharmacy team.

We are part of the Cygnet Primary Care Network, working closely with local practices to enhance patient services and staff wellbeing.

What Were Looking For

  • NMC-registered Practice Nurse

  • General practice/primary care experience (desirable)

  • Confident in chronic disease management and routine nursing services

  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills

  • A proactive, motivated, and patient-focused approach

  • Independent Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential)
