A fantastic opportunity to join a high performing GP
surgery, looking to welcome a new Respiratory Nurse to the team.
As a member of the Watling Street Practice nursing team,
you will be working from our surgery in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes.
In addition to respiratory duties, experience around
chronic illness and immunisations is essential to this role.

Shift Pattern 28-37.5 hours per week
Conversations around flexible working and compressed hours are encouraged
We are offering 28 hours per week for respiratory duties,
with the option to take on additional hours covering treatment room duties, ie
womens health, imms, dressings etc.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respiratory
Nurse to join our clinical team; someone with excellent communication skills, a
strong sense of empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced
environment.

Assist in and perform routine tasks related to
patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs

Asthma/Peak Flow Readings/Feno/Spiro/COPD

Hypertension Management
-
Requesting pathology tests, for example urine
culture, bloods

Ability to do referrals to local services
-
Following agreed clinical protocols with
referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate

Ability to use own judgment, resourcefulness and
common sense

A commitment to maintain a high professional
standard of nursing care and keep up to date with all aspects of nursing care
