The post holder will work with clinical and operational teams within Newcomen Primary Care Network (PCN) to create a vision to guide service improvements, identify opportunities to make tangible positive transformation and deliver changes in a collaborative way. The post holder will support this vision to be developed in alignment with ICS strategy.

The post holder will have responsibility for coordinating and managing the PCN ARRS Workforce and work closely with staff working at practice and PCN level to understand current service models, identify challenges, agree priorities for improvement and then support these to be delivered.

The post holder will develop strong relationships with PCN member practices and will support the planning and delivery of improvements that will provide benefits to patients and staff.

The post holder will help to develop strategy related to transformation and improvement, aligning this with larger scale strategy and initiatives; but will focus their time on the planning, implementation and evaluation of practical improvements that make a difference to patients and staff in the PCN.

Main duties of the job

The core objective of the Digital & Business Transformation Manager is to support the PCN, its practices and the PCN workforce to deliver ongoing improvement to services.

The role will require experience in business / service improvement with expertise in transformational change and a good understanding of general practice systems and processes, including broad familiarity with general practice digital systems and how they can be used to deliver improvement.

This expertise will be used to develop and implement a strategic plan to build and implement a robust digital and business infrastructure.

About us

Newcomen PCN was formed in 2018. Our members consist of 6 NHS GP practices in the Black Country, who cover a population of over 42,000 patients. Under the ARRS scheme we already employ Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribing Link Workers, Mental Health Practitoners and Physicians Assistants. The role will work across all 6 practices.

Horseley Heath Surgery is one of the Practices within Newcomen PCN. This role will be employed by Newcomen PCN.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or significant evidence of academic study, work or research in the field of management and/or digital transformation.
  • Evidence of continual learning and professional development in the area of management and/or digital transformation.

Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant managerial experience.
  • Experience of project management and quality
  • Improvement.
  • Good understanding of the Digital agenda within the NHS
  • and Social Care or Care Sector.
  • Experience in delivering transformation projects across
  • multiples sites and/or departments.

Desirable
