Main duties of the job

This is an exciting and evolving role which includes processing clinical correspondence/patient records efficiently & diligently and providing administrative/secretarial support to the clinical team.

About us

We are a busy, friendly NHS GP surgery based in Exmouth, Devon. We have 4 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs and 1 Retainer GP. We also have 3 Practice Nurses, and 3 HCAs. All supported by an administration team and 2 managers.

Job responsibilities

29 hours per week, Monday Friday (potential for part time/job share if desired)

Job summary:

To process the information received by the Practice to enable provision of excellent patient care and ensure the patient records are kept up to date and accurate and to improve the quality of the data held.

To process any clinical correspondence that comes into the practice i.e., emails, post and any other correspondence.

To ensure the clinical records are updated with accurate and consistent data.

To ensure the process is robust and safe as this will enable the practice to increase efficiency and quality of service to patients.

To provide efficient secretarial support to the clinical team which also includes reception cover and dealing with telephone enquiries as and when required
