Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Whittington Moor
Surgery. We are looking for someone who would thrive in a busy, fastpaced
and friendly environment, working closely with our administrative, secretarial
and clinical teams.
This post offers 12 to 16 hours per week, working across three
days. Working days would include a Tuesday and Friday and we can be flexible
with the 3rd day.

Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
Checking and
processing incoming electronic documents
Arranging routine
appointments at the request of the clinical team
Managing the practice
referral log and processing urgent and routine referrals
Contacting external
agencies by email and telephone on behalf of the clinical team
Accurate coding of information into patient
records
Taking and typing up
meeting minutes as required
Keeping the
clinical team up to date with Advice and Guidance responses from consultants
Managing requests
for GP letters and reports
Liaising with all
departments across the practice to ensure smooth workflow
Managing safeguarding reports, coordinating safeguarding meetings/conferences,
and supporting the clinical team with agreed actions and follow-up tasks

- GCSE Grade C or above in English.
- Proficient in use of computer packages (word processing/email etc)
- Ability to record and/or pass on accurate information both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple deadlines
- A minimum of one years recent office experience
- Smart appearance
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Adaptable/flexible
- Confidentiality/tact/diplomacy
- Friendly outgoing personality
Desirable
- RSA Stage III (or equivalent) typing/word processing
- GCSE Grade C or above in Maths
- Experience of administrative duties in a previous post
- Previous experience of working in general practice
