Are you an excellent operational manager who would relish the opportunity to lead our welcoming, highly regarded practice in embracing new ways of working and responding to the ever-changing challenges of providing primary care?We have a wonderful opportunity to join our well established (over 178 years), GP partner-led practice as Practice Manager with an evolving and supportive management team.We are seeking a motivated, skilled manager with experience of managing a healthcare setting or be able to demonstrate outstanding potential to do so. Our ideal candidate will be confident, resilient, an excellent communicator who can work alongside the partners in leadership, providing inspiration and support to the whole practice team.The successful post holder will proactively lead the practice, with the partners, ensuring that we continue to deliver high standards of care and team working in a changing time within the NHS and primary care. Your passion for patient services and supporting the team must match ours, and we expect you to either have primary care experience or be prepared to learn about the intricacies of primary care.You will be responsible for service improvement and delivery of key targets across the full range of clinical and administrative areas within the practice. You need to be organised and able to build excellent working relationships using your excellent interpersonal skills.
Main duties of the job
In conjunction with the partnership develop practice strategic direction and policy and ensure implementation of the same.
Support the partners and ensure that the partners business requirements are fulfilled.
Manage the practice human resources.
Develop and maintain systems that maximise income and minimise costs.
Manage practice systems and processes to deliver best possible patient access, customer service and contractual compliance
Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the practices information and technology systems, including their integrity, continuity, safety, security and confidentiality.
Ensure continuing personal and practice professional development.
Ensure professionalism and customer service are maintained by all staff.
Management and maintenance of equipment and premises.
