Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our well established Reception team. This is a permanent post of 29.5 hours over 4 days.
Previous reception and customer service experience is essential. The the ability to prioritise your work and be highly organised is paramount to this post, as is excellent interpersonal skills, which includes a friendly telephone manner, whilst providing a professional, sensitive manner and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging, but rewarding.
Main duties of the job
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Deal with general enquiries and explaining procedures. Receive and make telephone calls as required, make appointments for patients, enter patient information on to the computer as required, action repeat prescription requests and undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested.
About us
We are a large GP practice in Wrexham City Centre looking after approx 13,200 patients.
We have 5 GP partners and a fantastic, long standing clinical and administrative support team.
Although an independent practice, we do offer agenda for change annual leave allowance & NHS pension.
