The nursing team at Plas Y Bryn Surgery in Wrexham City
Centre are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Nurse to join their well established and long standing team.

clinical and interpersonal skills to ensure that care is provided safely,
effectively and to a high standard.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is looking to move across into practice nursing. This vacancy is open to newly qualified nurses where there is a full preceptorship programme.
We are seeking proactive and confident people who are able to adapt to changing situations and environments, and who work well within a team of other people. You will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the service overall.
This is an ideal opportunity to develop a wide range of skills in one setting.
The successful candidate will be registered on to the GPN Foundation Programme, starting January 2025 andwill be appropriately supervised and assessed whilst gaining the core skills by a GPN supervisor/assessor.
Main duties of the job
With support, as you develop through the GPN Foundation Programme, you will be expected to manage:
- Adult and Childhood immunisations
- Child Immunisation
- Cervical cytology
- Diabetes Management
- Chronic disease management; specifically, Asthma and COPD
- Taking and interpreting ECGs
- Pill & HRT Checks
- Experience with EMIS Web is advantageous
You would work alongside very supportive GPs and sharing ideas is widely encouraged. We prioritise work life balance and at the same time strive to provide excellent patient care.
