Plas Y Bryn Surgery in Wrexham City
Centre is looking for an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Practice
Nurse to join our friendly and vibrant teaching practice.
The practice values high quality care
for our patients, therefore it is key for the candidate to have excellent
clinical and interpersonal skills to ensure that care is provided safely,
effectively and to a high standard.
This role is for 3 hours per week but we
will consider a job share if we have the right applicants to fulfill the hours.
The ideal candidate will work well
alone and as part of the practice team and have an interest in personal career
development. Previous experience of Primary Care is essential.
Main duties of the job
Essential skills:
- Chronic disease management; specifically, Asthma and COPD
- Adult and Childhood immunisations
- Wound care management
- Cervical cytology
- Promotion of healthy lifestyle choices
Desirable skills:
- Diabetes Management
- Taking and interpreting ECGs
- Pill & HRT Checks
- Experience with EMIS Web
You would work alongside very supportive GPs and sharing ideas is widely encouraged. We prioritise work life balance and at the same time strive to provide excellent patient care.
