Job summary
The Practice Administrator at Mocketts Wood Surgery, will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Practice Manager and the wider clinical team. To assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient day to day running of the surgery. A key part of the role involves supporting the clinical team in achieving Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) targets.

QOF Administration - covering registers, clinical searches (EMIS), building searches, coding, year-end submissions, exception reporting and enhanced services.

Mocketts Wood Surgery is a GP Surgery looking after approximately 9400 patients.
We are based in the beautiful village of St. Peters in Broadstairs. We currently have a fabulous team comprising of 5 GPs, a Pharmacist, 3 x Practices Nurses,1 nurse associate, 2 x Health Care Assistants, a Frailty and Social Care Coordinator, a Social Prescribing Link Worker, and administrators, who work together to provide high levels of clinical excellence and support to our patients.
We are looking to complete and enhance our team by fulfilling the post of an additional reliable, efficient and effective Administrator/Support to the Practice Manager.
Patient care is our priority and is at the centre of all that we do. We therefore would expect the successful applicant to have a skill set that includes strong administrational, organisational and communication skills. Proven IT proficiency and demonstrable experience of using EMIS clinical system is essential for this post.

Administration support to the Practice Manager- Provide high-level day to day administrative support as directed by the Practice Manager. Assist in preparation of reports, meetings, performance data and presentations for internal and external use. Help implement, monitor and communicate practice polices, protocols and procedures, ensuring all staff are kept informed of updates. Support CQC compliance activity. Liaise with external organisations on behalf of the Practice Manager. Assist with audits and improvement initiatives as directed.Assist in maintaining accurate personnel records in compliance with employment legislation and GDPR. Coordinate training records and mandatory training compliance across the team. Support the updating of patient facing materials. Coordinate Patient Participation Group (PPG) activity.

Use EMIS web to run clinical searches, produce lists and generate performance reports identifying patients with outstanding QOF indicators - experience of EMIS is essential for this role. Monitor QOF dashboards, exception registers regularly, reporting back to PM. Assist with Year end QOF submission preparation, ensuring all coding is complete and accurate. Participate in clinical audit activity as required.
Flexibility and adaptability - take on ad hoc project work, service improvement tasks or operational support as directed by the PM. Demonstrate a can do attitude and willingness to support.
